Port Levy House Update July 2017
This home is now well underway up in the Port Levy valley. When the roof went on, builder Huntley Quinn said he had a new favourite colour! We’re with him.
The client’s brief for a secluded rural cottage was simply to be off the grid and sustainable. From this we developed a design with a series of raised platforms, rooms and decks, perched above a wild meadow. Visual inspiration for the design has been taken from the farming vernacular, with repetitive roof forms also acknowledging the shape of the hillsides on both sides of the valley.
Due for completion in September 2017, the Port Levy House promises to be a roomy, relaxing space away from it all.
