From NZIA Awards text: This small residence grows with little apparent effort out of a planted bank with minimal impact on the existing contours. It is crisp, light and compact. Seen from a distance the building is very contextual but stylistically quite different from its neighbours. It has a cleverly detailed contemporary feel, making it a delight to examine in detail.
